Good evening NAS network,
As of March 15, 2020 late afternoon, the AB Government has announced that all schools and licensed childcare facilities are closed in an attempt to slow down the virus through decreasing community transmission.
Effective March 16, 2020, NAS will be closing our on-site Community Access program, keeping our Group Living individuals who attend external Community programs home and asking our Outreach staff and individuals to refrain from doing non-essential community activities. NAS is following the recommendation of the AB government and trying to protect individuals and staff. As we know that this will cause stress to our individuals, their families and their residential support; NAS is asking that you contact your Team Leader/Supervisor with your information.
Please know that NAS is working to support its network and we will keep you informed. Our staff team will be working and as we progress with our plan, we will work with you to best support our individuals and their networks.
As NAS office is now the “Control Center” for this pandemic, we are asking that all guests and staff that are experiencing any symptoms to contact their Team leader (during business hours) or On Call (after hours) and stay home.
NAS will also be sending out more information including our Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan.
Thank you for your support and collaboration in this crucial time.
