We are committed to providing a complete package of innovative services, programs, and resources that ensure the highest quality of Community Living, Community Access, Employment, or Respite support to people with developmental disabilities in the Calgary Region, 18 years of age or older.
Our services ensure our client's needs are met through a strong team approach where the individual, guardian, frontline, and management staff work together as partners. We work within a relational modality recognizing strength-based treatment approaches for each individual and their network.
Our services are highly individualized and tailored to each individual we serve, as we realize that everyone has a different need, a unique talent, and a gift to give to society.
Individuals who live semi-independently or dependently with family in the community are provided either in or out-of-home support to give them a break from their caregiving routine. The care ranges from complete residential support to monitoring of the client's support needs. These areas may be related to personal care, home management, health, safety, transportation, leisure, communications, relationship, maintenance, and emotional support. Supported Living ensures our clients a high quality of life by assisting in all areas of need.
We also support clients in developing their personal goals and skills to grow to their full potential. We strive to have regular communication between the client, support staff, leadership staff, and guardian, including the implementation and monitoring of approved Support Plans, Service Plans, Planned Procedures, and Medical Support Plans.
Our community-based program starts and ends onsite for individuals who benefit from daily community engagement activities. The program allows for clients who are fragile medically or experiencing mental health or behavioral concerns to be in a safe and secure environment when needed while being able to participate in community activities.
We also encourage clients to volunteer and take advantage of our partnerships. Those clients who have employment be it full or part-time, are supported by staff to maintain employment opportunities. Our clients are employed at companies such as Safeway, West Island College, Super Store, Flier Work Force, Walmart, A&W, Boston Pizza, Nappa, Calgary Stampede and so on. They also volunteer their time towards Fanning, Petland, Bethany, Sherrif King, JB Music, and WINS.
